William J. Kovatch, Jr. serves as a panel attorney for indigent criminal appellants before the D.C. Court of Appeals, writing briefs and arguing case. He has also spent almost eight years with the Federal Government litigating complex international trade cases. He has written briefs and motions that have been filed with U.S. courts as well as NAFTA binational panels. He has also drafted major portions of written submissions filed with the World Trade Organization dispute settlement panels and the Appellate Body.
Prior to working for the Federal Government, William J. Kovatch, Jr. served as a judicial law clerk for the D.C. Court of Appeals. He has written briefs and motions on various topics such as workers’ compensation, criminal law, medical malpractice, zoning laws, torts and probate.
